Welcome and thank you for visiting Flyingzonedirect.com! Founded by Bryan Atkinson in 1999, Flyingzone Publications is dedicated to promoting UK Aviation Heritage in its many forms. Early in 2000, he successfully launched the UK Air Enthusiast's website - www.flyingzone.co.uk. This wasn't enough for Bryan. Determined to create a new and indepth reference media in which to explain and reveal the construction, systems and history of classic aircraft designs, he spent three years developing the first title 'The Lancaster Explored.' Following its great success, he developed the second title in this special series - The Spitfire Mk V Explored. In November 2006, Bryan published The Halifax Explored, a truly superb work that has been well received by ex-Halifax crews and air enthusiasts alike. Bryan is now planning many more titles, including The Mosquito and Hurricane Explored. Watch this space!
